Model Investment Club
The Mid-Michigan Chapter has six model investment clubs that meet on a regular basis. Since the pandemic , some of these clubs meet online only. All members of Model Clubs are BetterInvesting members and the clubs follow BetterInvesting principles. The meetings are open to the public to model the procedures which investment clubs should follow. BI Baker Model Club
This Grand Blanc club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm to provide education and invest in growth stocks using BetterInvesting principles. This club usually meets in person and online at Grand Blanc/McFarlen Library, but may occasionally meet online only. This is a fully-functioning investment club which models the best practices of a typical BetterInvesting club. The BI Brighton Model Club is a joint project of the Mid-Michigan and Southeastern Michigan Chapters. The club meets at 10:00 am on the first Saturday of most months in Brighton. Currently, this club meets online only due to pandemic restrictions. This club offers visitors the opportunity to see an investment club in action. This club meets at 9:00 am on the first Tuesday of every month, except July and December. Founded in northern Michigan in 1997 it became a model club a few years ago. It is a fully functioning investment club that models best practices of a typical BetterInvesting club and adheres to the BetterInvesting philosophy. This club meets in Zeeland at 7:00 pm on the last Monday of every month (except in May and November). It does not meet in July and December.
