Description

Small company investing—ever wonder why many investment clubs often avoid small companies?  Come and learn not only the common reasons, BUT how to overcome these obstacles. Obstacles you say?  Yes, there are some for sure!  Trounce these, and your success and profits will grow handsomely over time.  Most importantly, you’ll learn about a variety of sources for finding small companies and how to screen for them..

North Texas Chapter’s own Dave Wozniak will present this class using Value Line's Small- & Mid-Cap Editions, and its Special Situations service along with BetterInvesting and Manifest Investing screens, and so much more.  And, you might wonder about small companies with NO analyst earnings or sales estimates?  Dave will cover how to use BI’s Preferred Procedure to your best benefit in these cases.

Dave has been a member of BetterInvesting for about thirty years and has been a contributor to the North Texas Chapter for more than 20 of those years. He began investing in his early 20s. He holds BBAs in both personal and corporate finance, and an MBA in finance, all from the University of North Texas. He has taught for over twenty years at the University of North Texas at Dallas and Dallas College, where he was recognized for excellence in teaching in 2010.

The North Texas Chapter will open the morning with a quick Stock Selection Guide (SSG) study of the stock-to-study in the current issue of Better Investing magazine.
