What is the BetterInvesting National Convention (BINC)?
The National Convention is BetterInvesting's largest premier event designed to educate individuals with a wide array of financial information.
Attendees from across the nation. can experience basic financial education, beginning investors can experience a disciplined approach to stock analysis and experienced investors can sharpen their skills with a goal to increase their net worth.
Held in a different city each year, the four-day convention features nationally known speakers, plus seminars, tours, social events and one of the largest displays of investment information, education and ideas in the country.
The events include specialized investment seminars, workshops, corporate roundtable discussions and corporate exhibits and presentations. The convention is an outstanding learning and networking experience for both beginning and experienced investors.
BINC is organized by the BetterInvesting Volunteer Advisory Board (BIVAB) and as such, all proceeds benefit BIVAB. Your attendance at BINC helps support the mission of BIVAB and BetterInvesting by providing resources to local chapters and volunteers.

Where are the BetterInvesting National Convention (BINC) Handouts Located?
As a paid attendee, you will have the opportunity to download session handouts prior to BINC. The handouts will be made available approximately two weeks before the event. You will be notified when and where you will be able to access them.
Can we record sessions?
We have commissioned a company to make recordings of the audio synchronized to the PowerPoints for each class. These recordings are available on a thumb drive for sale to the attendees. It is a great way to review classes you attended or to experience classes you were not able to attend.
How do you select BINC speakers?
Speakers are referred and evaluated by the BINC planning committee. This committee is comprised of BIVAB volunteers who use attendee feedback and general financial interest to select BINC keynote speakers. If you have information or referrals or know someone who would like to submit a (non-vendor) recommendation, please contact BINC chairperson Deane Jaeger at jaegerdeane@gmail.com.
Will I receive a printed BINC program?
You will receive a printed program book in your registration bag when you check in .. A list of class presenters and class topics will be available on the website and updated frequently as more information becomes available.
What is the BINC attire?
BINC is designed to be fun and engaging as well as educational. Wear clothing that allows you to be comfortable. It is recommended to bring a light sweater as meeting rooms can get chilly.

How do I become a volunteer?
You can become a volunteer for your Chapter and help fellow BetterInvesting members. There will be a booth at the Expo on Saturday where you can pick up volunteer information.
I am bringing my family with me to Chicago. Will there be activities for them to enjoy during BINC?
BetterInvesting does not have specific activities designed for guests or family members, but we do offer Spouse tickets (which can be purchased during online registration) There is plenty to see and do in Chicago and the surrounding area. Contact your hotel concierge to help you plan activities and day trips during your stay or visit www.visitchicago.com for more information.
When will the exhibit hall be open?
There will be an opportunity for the attendees to interact with Corporate representatives during BINC. This is an excellent time to meet with investor relations personnel to learn more details of company performance and expectations for the future. During this time attendees can also participate in raffles and door prizes and partake in games and contests.
When does the meeting end?
BINC officially concludes with the Closing Bell ceremony and door prizes on Sunday May 19, 2024 at noon.
Do you validate parking?
Parking is not included as part of the registration fee, unless otherwise noted. There is self-parking and valet parking for your convenience.

What is your refund policy?
The cancellation policy for BINC 2024 is as follows: BINC cancellations MUST be received in writing at the BetterInvesting Home Office prior to 4/1/2024. An email can be sent to service@betterinvesting.org. All cancellations are subject to a $50 processing fee. NO refunds will be made after April 1st, 2024.
To cancel your hotel reservation, you must contact the hotel at least 48 hours before arrival to cancel without penalty. BetterInvesting will not cancel your hotel room.. Please notify the hotel with your cancellation.
How much time should I allow myself for check-in?
The highest volume of traffic at registration is Thursday afternoon and Friday morning before classes start. Please allow 15-25 minutes before the first session starts to pick up your registration material. Our goal is to make check-in as quick and easy as possible. To help in this process, please use the online registration system in advance; this will speed up your check-in process on site. Typical hours of operation for the registration booth is Friday - Sunday 7:00 am till 4:00 pm.
Can I attend only one day of the three-day event?
Yes, typically we offer single day registration for each of the three days which will go on sale April 1 2024
How do I register for the BetterInvesting National Convention (BINC) without meals? I live locally.
Due to space limitations, pricing to attend on individual days without meals, are listed one month ahead of BINC, if space is available.
Are student groups allowed?
There is a special reduced pricing schedule for students and adults under 30 years of age to attend BINC2024.
Can I transfer my registration if I can no longer attend?
Yes. You may transfer your registration to someone else. There is no fee for equal transfers. If you are transferring to a non-member, the difference in ticket price will be charged.
Can I bring my spouse/children?
Although attendees may bring family members to the hotel, only paid registrants wearing BINC names badges will be permitted to attend BINC events and food/social functions. There is a spouse option that covers meals for the full event, including Welcome Reception, all classes and seminars for all levels of investors, popular guest speakers and instructors, and corporate presentations.
What is Chapter Director Pricing?
Chapter Directors are volunteers on a chapter’s Board of Directors who work throughout the year, meeting with clubs, members, and helping to put on programs in their local areas. Chapter Directors are given a reduction in the BINC registration fee. To receive the registration discount, Chapter Directors are required to attend Thursday’s Volunteer Training and to contribute 2 hours of their time on assigned tasks at BINC. Chapter Director registration includes three days of classes, convention meals, Thursday night Welcome Reception, Friday night Exhibitor Receptions, and door prizes on Sunday.
Will I receive my registration materials in the mail?
Registration materials are not mailed prior to BINC; they will be available for pick-up beginning 12 noon Thursday, May 16, 2024 in the Registration area.
I registered online, but I did not receive an email confirmation. How can I get a copy of my registration confirmation?
If you have not received an online confirmation from Eventbrite after you’ve registered, you can request a copy by sending an email to service@betterinvesting.org
Do you sell the attendee database?
Out of respect for your privacy, we do NOT sell our attendee database.
How can I reserve a hotel room, and what are the rates?
Please note: BINC registration does not include a hotel room. The Convention will be held at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare hotel.. We have secured a special nightly rate of $141 plus tax, and you may extend your stay before and after the event at the same nightly rate. Book your hotel room now for BINC 2024 as the last day to reserve this rate is April 29, 2024 or until the room block is sold out. Don’t wait to make your hotel reservation as the last time BINC was in Chicago the hotel sold out.
Is there a deadline to book my hotel room at the group rate? Where do I make the reservation?
The deadline to book your hotel room at the discounted group rate of $141 per night (plus taxes/fees) is April 29, 2024. It is highly likely that the group room block will sell out prior to the deadline. Therefore, it is recommended to book your room early. Remember to mention that you are part of the BetterInvesting National Convention in order to receive the group rate.
Can I receive the discounted room rate for dates before and/or after BINC?
Yes. The discounted room rate of $141 (plus taxes/fees) is available to BINC attendees from May 13 to May 22, 2024 depending on availability. Come early or stay a few extra days to do some sightseeing in Chicago!
Does the hotel provide transportation to/from the airport?
The Marriott Chicago O’Hare hotel does provide complimentary shuttle service to and from O’Hare International Airport. The shuttle is available 24 hours a day.
What kind of child care services are available?
Please inquire about child care services with the concierge at your selected hotel. Be certain to make arrangements prior to your arrival in Chicago.
What services are available for special needs and requests?
BetterInvesting encourages attendees with disabilities to participate in BINC. Special provisions are made in each classroom for reserved seating in the front row for attendees requesting such accommodations. In addition, special food requests are addressed at time of registration.
There are several meal options available to choose from when registering for the convention. We try to cater to as wide a variety as possible, with the following meal options:

• Vegetarian
• Gluten Free
• Vegan
When you register in the “Special Needs” section you will be able to enter dietary requirements. Also if you have other special requests such as mobility issues or special seating requirements they can be entered in this section.
What kind of seating will be available at events for those with mobility needs, or who are unable to stand for long periods of time?
There will be seating marked Reserved for Accessible Seating at all plenaries. All events and receptions will have seating available for those who are unable to stand for long periods of time.
I have an allergy or specific dietary restriction. Whom should I contact?
We will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs. The online registration process allows you to request dietary needs.
Will there be free Wi-Fi at BINC?
Yes. Wi-Fi information will be posted at the BINC Registration Desk. There will be free wi-fi in the meeting rooms and complimentary in the lodging room to registered guests.
Can I use my mobile phone during BINC?
As a courtesy to presenters and other attendees, we ask that you kindly turn off your mobile phones or set them to vibrate during sessions and keynote presentations. Please quietly exit the room to attend to important phone calls.
