The Adding Judgment series is designed to improve the student’s ability to complete a Stock Selection Guide (SSG) through the use of research and the evaluation of historical data.
This series includes 5 online classes to help improve the student’s ability to complete a Stock Selection Guide (SSG) through the use of research and the evaluation of historical data. A process of utilizing standard resources of investment information to make better informed, more supportable projections on the SSG is demonstrated throughout the series. Various research resources are introduced, including Value Line, Morningstar, S&P, Annual Reports and Yahoo Finance. A Research Form is presented and used throughout the series, to help organize and evaluate the research needed to make and support the judgments on the SSG.
The series is intended for those students who have previously completed a basic Stock Selection Guide course. Students are expected to have the ability to read and interpret the SSG, identify the judgment items required to complete the SSG, and recognize what a reasonable range of estimates for future growth and P/Es would be.
Two free classes will be taught prior to the series. Basic SSG skills will be reviewed and an overview of a stock research process will be introduced.
Each session is recorded and may be accessed on your My Classes page. Students have access to all the recordings until 09/30/2013, or for 120 days if purchased after 05/29/2013.

This class introduces the student to some standard resources used for investment information. Data collection from some of the resources is demonstrated to provide an overview of how to use the standard resources. An SSG Research Form designed to help guide the student through the research process is presented.
