Ken Kavula will be in Sacramento LIVE on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at our annual Breakfast with the Champions at Sun City Roseville. You've heard his educational, informative and entertaining style on BetterInvesting webinars - now see him in person!!!
The day will start with a description of some of the ways Ken finds stock ideas. He’ll make a compelling case for investing in small and medium-sized companies and then spend some time introducing you to George Nicholson’s triple play concept for investing at the end of a bear market. Mr. Nicholson, the visionary investor who helped found BetterInvesting more than 60 years ago, always advised people to “Buy the Best!” Ken will show you how his clubs take this advice to heart using an organized procedure they refer to as an Industry Study. He’ll finish by making sure you leave with some specific ideas for stocks-to-study. Don’t miss this practical, down-to-earth session of Let’s Talk Stock! There will be time for questions at the end.
Ken Kavula has been volunteering for BetterInvesting for over 20 years. He devoted his professional career to education, teaching calculus and chemistry and serving as a high school principal for 21 years. After retiring with his wife, Natalie, Ken got more and more involved with BetterInvesting. He served many terms as the Mid-Michigan Chapter President, taught many classes for Michigan Chapters, founded the Great Lakes Coalition that presented three large regional conferences for BetterInvesting, chaired the BI National Convention twice and chaired the National BI Volunteer Advisory Board for three years.
Today he can be heard monthly on Ticker Talk as well as his own chapter's Roundtable program. He still coordinates one of the teams that produce the StockUp programs and he helps teach and develop new classes for the BI membership. Ken founded and is currently a member of three investment clubs plus one for the family. He is a popular speaker at chapter events throughout the country and also visits at least one club a month within his own chapter. In his downtime, Ken and Nat enjoy their two kids and four grandchildren, do a fair amount of traveling, try to attend as much theater as they can and enjoy cooking, gardening and reading.
